Safety Tips
The Peanut Shell® safety tips
Please use common sense while wearing the Peanut Shell® and remember that a baby (or two) is
inside! The following tips are important to keep in mind at all times while wearing your baby:
- When putting the baby in the Peanut Shell® always make sure that you are supporting your baby with at least one arm at all times until you are certain the sling is in place.
- Be sure to keep baby away from hot stoves, heaters, fireplaces or other hot or sharp objects. Pay attention to what your baby is doing at all times!
- Bend at the knees, not at the waist, and support baby in the sling with one hand.
- Please remember that toddlers, if worn, are at your reaching level and love the new freedom to grab potentially dangerous objects off shelves.
- When going through doorways or around corners, please use extreme caution that baby's body and head does not stick out past your arm and strike the wall or doorjamb.
- Wear baby cautiously in the kitchen. Do not wear baby while cooking or working with sharp or hot objects.
- Do not ride a bicycle or any other "cycle" while wearing your baby. Baby carriers are not substitutes for an approved car seat.
